What this means for your floor
Two engineered floors can look similar while having different installation methods, site limitations and long-term serviceability. Final Floors compares the actual product specifications and project conditions before making a recommendation.
What can change the recommendation?
Wear layerIdentify the construction and remaining sound wood before sanding is proposed. A product's original wear-layer specification does not establish what remains after previous work.
Core constructionCompare the exact SPC, WPC or other product construction with room use, approved installation and maintenance. The core category alone does not determine the best floor.
Prior sandingReview available history and inspect edges, joints and remaining material. Avoid promising another full sanding from the age or species alone.
Product limitsIdentify this item during the assessment and retain the relevant photos or product records. Make the assumption explicit in the written scope instead of treating it as automatically included.
