What this means for your floor
Return-to-service timing depends on the stain and finish system, product-specific cure schedule, temperature, humidity, ventilation and manufacturer guidance. Final Floors, LLC provides project-specific care guidance after hardwood floor refinishing rather than using one blanket timeline for every finish.
What can change the recommendation?
Finish systemIdentify the selected finish chemistry and compatible preparation. Separate drying, recoating and full cure using the product instructions for the actual room conditions.
Room conditionsRecord indoor temperature, humidity, ventilation and expected use. Those conditions can affect material conditioning, finish drying and the return-to-service plan.
Furniture timingUse the selected finish system's furniture guidance and agree who will move and protect each item. Foot-traffic readiness does not automatically permit heavy furniture.
Rug timingAsk when rugs and mats may cover the selected finish. Covering a floor can change drying conditions even when light foot traffic is permitted.
