What this means for your floor
Once mitigation and required drying or remediation are complete, Final Floors can compare appropriate flooring options for the rebuilt space. Waterproof product claims do not replace the need to correct the source and prepare the substrate first.
What can change the recommendation?
Future room useDescribe the actual use, not just “residential” or “commercial.” Include concentrated wear, furniture movement and cleaning exposure when comparing suitable products.
Substrate conditionInspect and measure the condition before selecting a repair. Separate surface preparation from damaged material or structural movement and record the agreed limits of work.
Moisture riskRecord the source, affected layers and relevant readings. Confirm that the condition is resolved and the next flooring step is permitted before covering the assembly.
MaintenanceReview the approved care instructions and the existing maintenance routine. Identify incompatible cleaners, mats or equipment before adding a new treatment.
