What this means for your floor
Low spots, high spots, movement, damaged panels, residue and moisture conditions can affect how a floating or glue-down floor performs. Final Floors evaluates the substrate and the selected manufacturer's requirements before defining preparation for a Metro Atlanta LVP project.
What can change the recommendation?
Measured flatnessMeasure high and low areas against the exact flooring manufacturer's tolerance. Plan compatible grinding, patching or leveling rather than judging the floor by appearance.
Panel movementLocate moving panels and identify fastening, damaged material or support concerns before new flooring covers them. Significant structural movement requires appropriate professional review.
MoistureRecord the source, affected layers and relevant readings. Confirm that the condition is resolved and the next flooring step is permitted before covering the assembly.
Existing adhesiveIdentify residue and its compatibility with the new assembly. Unidentified or suspect materials may need appropriate testing before disturbance or removal.
