What this means for your floor
Rather than treating one core type as universally better, compare the complete product: locking system, wear surface, attached backing, manufacturer requirements, room use and substrate conditions. Final Floors helps Metro Atlanta customers compare the actual products being considered for the project.
What can change the recommendation?
Core constructionCompare the exact SPC, WPC or other product construction with room use, approved installation and maintenance. The core category alone does not determine the best floor.
Attached backingIdentify the exact factory-attached backing. Verify whether extra underlayment is permitted; adding layers can change support, locking performance or warranty eligibility.
Room useDescribe the actual use, not just “residential” or “commercial.” Include concentrated wear, furniture movement and cleaning exposure when comparing suitable products.
Installation limitsVerify room-use, substrate, temperature, expansion and installation-method limits for the actual product. Confirm restrictions before material is purchased.
